Lady Raiders dealt second loss

South Ripley volleyball fell for the second time in its last three matches on Monday night, dropping a 3-0 decision at home against Madison.

The Lady Raiders started the year 3-0 but are 1-3 since. Madison (8-4) won by straight-set scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-15.

Kaylie Effing and Claire Samples each had six kills for South Ripley and Mallory Kelly added five kills. Mallory and Evelyn Kelly served two aces apiece, Megan Basocm totaled 12 digs and Kinley Demaree was right behind with 10 digs. Bascom finished up recording a team-high 15 assists.

South Ripley (4-2) was at Scottsburg on Wednesday and will host Rising Sun tonight in an Ohio River Valley Conference match.
