Arline Gullion

Arline Gullion, 85, of Rexville passed away at 4 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. She was born at Millers Branch in Trimble County, Kentucky on October 25, 1939, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby Williams O’Neal. She was married to Doug Gullion on June 10, 1960 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2000. Survivors include three sons Ronnie Gayle (Carolyn) Gullion of North Vernon, Roger Gayle (Gena) Gullion of Dewberry, and Rodney Gale (Sara) Gullion of Rexville; one daughter Robin Gail Cull (Mark Campbell) of Madison; grandchildren Christian Cull, Kevin, Justin, Andy, and Amanda Gullion, and Lyric Bettis; three brothers Frankie (Donna) O’Neal, Darrell (Lisa) O’Neal, and Larry (Donna) O’Neal all of Bedford, Kentucky; three sisters Eula Bea Clem of LaGrange, Kentucky, Mona Rose of Carrollton, Kentucky, and Francis Kay Smith of Milton, Kentucky. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dale O’Neal, and her sisters Nancy Anderson, Brenda O’Neal and Betsy O’Neal. Mrs. Gullion was a 1958 graduate of Trimble County High School. She and Doug were best known in the community for their Country Swap Shop that they owned and operated in Rexville for over 50 years. Arline enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, reading and following UK basketball. She was a member of the Tanglewood Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 30 at 11 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Stephen Mullins officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden near Madison. Visitation was on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Mt. Herman Baptist Church or the Versailles American Legion Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
