SR athletes bring home the Gold, Silver...

South Ripley students excelled in Winter Games for Special Olympics this past week as they competed and won in snowboarding and snowshoe running at Perfect North. They join the group of young people who make Ripley County shine. Several felony drug arrests made

Police have been busy investigating and people continue to be charged with crimes throughout the pandemic. Recent felony drug arrests are proof that the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office and the Indiana State Police have continued their effort to combat drugs in the county.


Services set for column writer

Kenny Clemons, 84, passed away Sunday, January 10 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. He was known to many throughout our readership for his writing: Splinters, which was a sports column and In and Around Ripley County, which was a variety of subjects about local people. When you saw Kenny, he would always ask, “What do you know?” That would lead to him having some good information for his column.
