Raider duo set for bowling regional

A junior and a freshman are set for the next round of the postseason out on the lanes as South Ripley’s Marcus Miller and Jacoby May are headed to the Indiana Bowling Centers Association Regional Tournament.

Miller, a junior and May, a freshman, earned spots after competing in the sectional at Scottsburg this past Saturday.

Top 10 finishes for each individual allowed for them to advance, continuing South Ripley’s postseason success in the sport of bowling. May finished sixth overall at the sectional, combining for a three-game total score of 513 and Miller was six pins behind at 507, finishing eighth in the standings.

The Raider duo competes on Saturday in the regional at Classic Lanes in Bloomington. Those able to qualify out of the tournament will advance to the IBCA Semi-State in Terre Haute on February 1.
