Dennis “Mike” Michael Kreider, 76 of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at home. He was born June 23, 1948, in Wolf Lake, Indiana to Charles and Helen (Hull) Kreider. Mike met Sandra Hemsoth while attending College and later married her on August 5, 1972.

Mike honorably served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Harvester/International Navistar for over 30 years before his retirement. Mike, also known as “Mickey Mouse,” took great pride in his 2003 Mustang and enjoyed taking it to car shows, where he won many awards. He was a lake dweller and enjoyed spending time with his mom and dad at Long Lake. He also enjoyed camping, mowing, and taking care of his lawn. He was a Cubs and Bears fan, thanks to Sandra, and enjoyed old country western movies and M.A.S.H. In his younger years, he competed in roller skating dance competitions.

Mike is survived by his wife Sandra; four children, Brent Kreider, Adam Kreider, Shaun (Gara Burnett) Kreider and Rachel Kreider; eight grandchildren, Gabby, Cora, Ethan, Bryce, Devanté, Makayla, Keegan, Declan and one great grandchild, Karson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation was from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Funeral services began at 1:00 pm. Burial followed in Covington Memorial Gardens immediately followed the service with military honors provided by The United States Army.
