Enrollment for kindergarten, preschool in place for South Ripley students

South Ripley Elementary, located in Versailles, has announced their enrollment for preschool for the 2021-22 school year, along with kindergarten registration.

Enrollment for preschool registration is going on now. It is open to students who turn four-years-old by August 1, 2021. Classes are Monday through Friday and will follow the same calendar year as the elementary students.

Preschool lays a foundation, preparing students for both academic and social learning for kindergarten. “My daughter had a hard time talking to anyone and was not social. Every day she made progress. If it weren’t for this preschool program, I feel like kindergarten would have been too overwhelming for her,” one parent wrote.

Kindergarten registration will be held April 20 and 21 this year. You will need to get an appointment with times being from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Any student who is five-years-old by August 1, 2021 is eligible to attend 2021-22 kindergarten classes at SRES.

If you enroll online, you should still make an appointment to meet a teacher and receive a new backpack and book. To enroll your child you will need a valid birth certificate (one from the health department) and up-to-date vaccine information.
