Ripley County is first in Swinging Recovery Tournament

Ripley County Peer-To-Peer (P-2-P) hosted a Swinging for Recovery softball tournament at the Versailles Sports Complex. The tournament included teams from Ripley and Dearborn County Court Services, Ripley County P-2-P, 1Voice, JCAP Alumni, Recover Out Loud, and Oxford House. Ripley County Court Services came away with the first place trophy with Ripley County P-2-P coming in 2nd place. Peer-To-Peer was estabalished in May of 2017. This peer driven substance abuse support group seeks to support and help combat the substance abuse addiction epidemic in our community by offering skill-based substance abuse support training delivered by individuals who share the experiences of addiction and recover. The P-2-P Group meet every Friday from 6-7 p.m. at Tyson Activity Center and is open to any age. The P-2-P Group is led by a Peer Recovery Community Support Specialist, Josh Wilson.
