Pictured above Annie Walker, communications director with INDOT, unveiled the new sign that was installed on US 50 by the Versailles State Park to honor Marine Corporal John C. Bishop, who lost his life in Afghanistan in the War on Terror. Pictured at left, Sarah Thomas, mother of the fallen Marine, hands out copies of the bridge sign to Bishop’s brother, Tyson, who inspired him to be a Marine. State Rep. Randy Frye, who, along with Marine John Gabbard, also pictured, stands in the background at the ceremony held Friday night at the Versailles American Legion Post park.
