Beauty in the blooms...
A Milan resident, Martha John finds great joy sitting in her “flower garden” this summer. An avid gardener, her patio is full of beautiful blooms this year. Martha not only finds beauty in her flowers, but the beauty in everyone who comes to visit her! To celebrate her 89th birthday in August, a few of her children came to help with a little photoshoot. Her five children are very thankful she is here to enjoy the sunshine and flowers with them this summer! A special thanks to her daughter, Amy Smith, for sharing the photos with the Osgood Journal, and allowing us to share Martha with our readers.
Milan ends as co-conference champs
A blemish inside numerous Ohio River Valley Conference reports finally was fixed this past week and in doing so it was revealed that the Milan Lady Indians are rightful co-conference champions alongside South Ripley. The Lady Indians were officially crowned co-ORVC champs per the final fall release of the weekly ORVC reports. Milan ended conference play with a 5-1 mark alongside South Ripley.
Lady Bulldogs run to sectional crown
A freshman turned in a big-time performance in her postseason debut and her teammates were equally impressive as the Batesville Lady Bulldogs captured the IHSAA Girls Cross Country Sectional at Rushville on Saturday morning.
