Progress made on water tower

A lot of action has been taking place at the Holton Water Company property located at US 50 and Michigan Road. Construction of a new water tower is underway as big sheets were being hoisted by a crane last Friday, November 1. According to Michele Demaree, manager of the water company, that part of the project should be completed by Thanksgiving barring any delays due to weather.


Defense sends Bulldogs to title game

Batesville’s defense forced four turnovers and the offense stayed consistent inside the first three quarters as Bulldog football defeated host Franklin County 28-21 on Friday night in the semifinal round of the Class 3A Sectional 30 Tournament.
