Children enjoy Christmas Party at Legion

Pictured, Kiersten Libby is helping children make a craft at the Versailles American Legion Kids Christmas Party held Saturday, December 9. Libby, along with Christy Scoggins, have been doing this since 2016 and always have crafts, goody bags, snacks and pizza... “and of course, Santa,” noted Libby.
Luke Buchanan, 5, son of Cody and Tracy Buchanan, was proud of his cookie after decorating it at the party Saturday evening. The blue coloring above his lip matches his eyes!

No. 10 JCD beats Lady Chargers

Class A No. 10 Jac-Cen-Del trailed by seven points early but turned on the jets in the final three quarters as part of an impressive 53-43 victory over visiting North Decatur.

The wonder of Santa in children’s eyes across Ripley County

Santa was star of the show at the Versailles American Legion. When he walked into the room, Emersyn Marcum’s eyes lit up and she handed him her personally decorated cookie. Her brother, Mac, had a look of surprise on his face too.
