Knights of Columbus-Batesville holds Lenten buffet
Friday, March 7 was the first Lenten fish fry at K of C in Batesville. This is an all you can eat buffet consisting of fish, potatoes and vegetables. This event has been held 24 years. Bob Selke, age 80 of Batesville, came to support the K of C as originally this land was his home place of the Selke’s.

Friendship Tavern offers a great experience
Many of us in Ripley County have gone to the Friendship Flea Market or otherwise known as “The Shoot” to some people. But how often do people go out to Friendship besides those two times in a year? Nestled just across the street from the Friendship State Bank, a cozy restaurant and bar sits. The weathered siding is a testament to just how long the building has been there.

Aquatics swim at Center Grove
The Milan Aquatics swim program is back in the pool as the summer season draws nearer and several on the squad used big winters to compete in this past weekend’s Southeast Indiana Divisional Meet at Center Grove.

Unified Bowling Team headed to State Championship
The Unified Bowling Team is headed to the Champions Together Unified Bowling High School State Championship at Royal Pin Western Bowl in Indianapolis on Saturday. South Ripley’s Unified Team placed first out of 40 high school teams with a score of 1918. This will be South Ripley’s sixth trip to the State Tournament. They will be competing against 20 unified high school teams on Saturday.
