In the Thursday, April 11 issue

In the print edition:

A ‘totality’ good time was had

A group gathered at the Versailles American Legion parking lot to get an optimal view of the solar eclipse on Monday. Just as the sky darkened, the streetlights came on and history was made with the tower clock marking the time.

Memories made on April 8...

Another way to celebrate Eclipse Day was the opening of the ice skating rink inside the Upper Room Cafe in Osgood. Kids can skate all week from noon to 5:00 p.m. this week for free. Skates and props are provided. Check their facebook page to see what the future hours will be for this great indoor space where you can hear great music to colorful lights.

South Ripley first graders were ready for the Eclipse on Monday

SRES students were ready for eLearning day Monday and the total solar eclipse. First grade students in Mrs. Halcomb’s class learned what a solar eclipse is, the path of total totality (which states will see this), how to illustrate a solar eclipse and how to safely view the solar eclipse! In addition, each student was given a pair of solar eclipse glasses to take home.
