Shed at Napoleon reduced to rubble

On Tuesday, April 23, at 1:46 a.m., Napoleon Fire Dept. responded to a fire call at the Dean property south of Napoleon. A 14’x40’ storage shed was engulfed that had furniture, clothing, and belongings in it. On the scene assisting was State Fire Marshall, Joshua Waterson, Osgood Fire Dept., Ripley Co. Sheriff Dept. and the Indiana State Police. The shed and contents were a total loss according to Steve Meyer, Chief of Napoleon Fire Dept. The Versailles Republican was told the fire is an ongoing investigation as of press time.

20 runs seals SR win

South Ripley softball 16 unanswered runs in the final three innings on Monday night, finally pulling away from visiting Oldenburg Academy by a 20-10 final score.

Versailles Lions Club member of the month

Members of the Versailles Lions Club recently gathered in front of their building off the square in Versailles after they were named Member of the Month for April from the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce. This group is always doing good in the community, helping others whenever they can.
