First community market in Sunman is a happening place

The First Community Market was a great success on Monday, June 3. There was something for everyone including a carnival booth sponsored by Rusty Rooster, Lula’s Karaoke & DJ, Dudley Farms, Caring Hands Insurance, and MGPI, who were also sponsors of the event. Food trucks and vendors came out to support the event and had a variety of food and retail for everyone.


Terrific Tuesdays at UR Cafe in Osgood

A group of children from Jac-Cen-Del’s summer day camp program ventured out to The Upper Room Café for different activities and lunch. The group enjoyed the pizza and ice water on a hot Tuesday afternoon while taking a break from the inflatables. On Tuesday, June 4, The Upper Room Café hosted an afternoon of inflatables, face painting, balloon animals and lunch open for any children ages 5-12. Every Tuesday from noon to 2pm throughout the summer The Upper Room Café will hold events for children free of charge. The Bridge of Hope Youth will come to The Upper Room Café to host Kids Totally Awesome Tuesday on June 11. On June 18, bring the little ones out for Crafts with Iron Timbers and on June 25 the kids can have an afternoon of activities with the local fire and police departments. The Upper Room Café is located at 721 Tanglewood Rd., Osgood.


SCC Cosmo hosts Princess Day

SCC Cosmetology hosted 89 princesses on Friday, May 31. Pictured is the afternoon session where each princess is pictured with her paired cosmetology student. Each student and princess duo stick together throughout the event while the princess has their hair styled, nails painted, and makeup done by the cosmetology student. Snacks and a dance party followed for fun to be had by all.
