The Tanglewood is refurbished - bringing new life to the square in Versailles
A Ribbon Cutting and Open House was held at The Tanglewood on the square in Versailles on Saturday, July 19. A large crowd gathered throughout the two hour time span for the celebration. Brandi Merkel, Ripley County Chamber Executive Director, holds the left side of the ribbon with Matt Cunningham, chamber member, on the right with Donald Ball, architect, Riley Hafft and Jeff Hafft, builders, Holly Wehr, owner, along with members of Holly’s family including sisters Libby Litmer, Dawn Wehr, nieces and friends. The old building has been completely refurbished with several special touches to make it the perfect vision Holly had for the new look.

Batesville Bombers win at Knightstown
Pictured above are the Batesville Bombers 8U All Star Softball League who won two out of four tournaments. Their first win was at the tournament in Batesville at the Plex and they won The Knightstown Softball Bash 2025 Tournament last weekend. Players: Reagan Schmid #1, Ally Hammond #23, Lexy Lacey #13, Riley Parrott #12, Zayla Yeager #8, Avery Brwer #44, Georgia Rose Smock #7, Lillian Werner #15, Georgia Koors #9, Emalyn McConnell #3, Kennedy Gerkin #2, Harper Gerkin #20, and Jayde Baker #10. Coaches are Tyler Schmid, Bryan Lacey, Nate Parrot, Bobby Koors, and Jay Gerkin. They have another tournament scheduled for August 1 in Connersville.
