‘Rock the Lot’ dance was worth the effort
Versailles Post 173 Sons of the American Legion organized their first “Rock the Lot” street dance that was held on Saturday, July 27. The evening was full of live music and local food from Mark and Barb McNeelan. All proceeds from this event will go toward multiple SAL scholarships that are given out each year.

Construction on new water tower proceeds
workers from CXB Construction out of Henderson, KY, were busy getting the foundation ready for the new water tower at Holton. They were subcontracted through Pittsburg Tanks. They were planning to pour the foundation on Tuesday, August 6, which has a center and five legs, according to Shawn Farrell of the water company.
