Editor’s note: a man once said, “You need to look back sometimes, so you see the mistakes you made, and never make those again.” I’m not sure how I feel about that statement. Some things need to be buried. But, we will look at 2019 and focus on some of the accomplishments for and by people in Ripley County that were reported in the Osgood Journal and The Versailles Republican.

SEI Communications has announced again that it will be offering $4,000 in scholarships to 2020 graduates in the area. SEI Communications is excited to be able to help families in the communities they serve. They appreciate their members and customers, and greatly appreciate the opportunity they have to partner with them to help area high school seniors reach their education goals.

The year 2019 was full of sporting success for teams from Jac-Cen-Del, Milan, and South Ripley, along with individuals in the Ripley County community. Highlights are listed below by month, with at least one memory from each month of the year.
