43 headline county scoring list

UE ATHLETICS
2009 Batesville graduate Colt Ryan sits atop the county scoring list with 1,794 points and currently is No. 2 on the all-time scoring list at the University of Evansville. He left the Purple Aces as their leading scorer in 2013 after totaling 2,279 points in four years.
It’s a list that not many have had access to but even in the offseason, it’s a list worth revealing as 43 former high school boys basketball players in the coverage area are now featured on the 1000-point scoring list in Ripley County history.
The list had been released by the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame but has since been updated following the conclusion of this past boys basketball season.
2009 Batesville graduate and former University of Evansville career leading scorer Colt Ryan is No. 1 on the list with 1,794 points, eclipsing former leader and 1999 Jac-Cen-Del star Brad Borgman and his 1,711 points. 1997 Mr. Basketball runner-up Michael Menser is third with his 1,699 points and in fourth is 2025 South Ripley graduate Cole Henry who is tops in school history with 1,585 points.
2000 Milan graduate Ryan Hixson, a 2025 member of the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame, rounds out the top five with 1,545 points.
Jac-Cen-Del leads the county with 12 1000-point scorers and that is followed by Milan’s 11 and Batesville’s 10. South Ripley has six on the list while the other four include individuals from Versailles, New Marion, Cross Plains and Sunman.
A career scoring list on the girls basketball side will be featured in the newspaper later this month. The complete boys scoring list is as follows:
