Aquatics second in Hanover

Milan Aquatics is now 2-3 this season. The team brings together youth from all of Ripley County.
Milan Aquatics continued their brief summer season this past week, finishing second in a three-way meet with the Jefferson County Aquatic Club and South Dearborn at Southwestern High School.
Jefferson County won the meet with 621.5 points and Milan scored 456 points for second place. South Dearborn rounded out the standings at 91.5 points.
Milan won 23 different events on the day and that included six separate relay events. Winning relay teams for the Aquatics included the following: Skylar Davidson, Bridget Beiser, Scarlett Beiser and Jessa O’Neil, Girls 8U 100 Freestyle; Brody Stock, Levi DeWire, Archer Austin and Cooper Mutz, Boys 10U 100 Freestyle; Stock, Mutz, DeWire and Austin, 10U Boys 200 Medley; Taylor Stock, Kami Laws, Alice Austin and Solara Scheel, 14U Girls 200 Medley; Molly DeWire, Laws, Austin and Stock, 14U Girls 100 Freestyle; Averi Jones, Ashlyn DeWire, Lainey Stock and Elizabeth McKittrick, Girls 18U 100 Freestyle.
Ava Mutz, a Milan student, won four individual events inside Girls 6U action and St.Louis student Ross Lieland won three events and took second in one race. Incoming Indian freshman Kyle O’Neil was a three-event winner as was Scarlett Beiser. Elias Howard won two events for the Aquatics and a single-event winner was Addy Laws.
Milan (2-3) is at Batesville on Monday for a meet against the host club and Jefferson County.
