Batesville soccer wins again

Batesville girls soccer extended its win streak to four matches last Tuesday night, defeating Connersville 6-1 in an Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference match on the road.
The Lady Bulldogs held a 4-1 edge in the first half and used its defense to shutout Connersville (0-2-2, 0-1 EIAC) in the final 40 minutes. Batesville added two goals inside the second half.
Maddie Prewitt paced the blue and white’s offense with two goals while Ella Carpenter, Katie Lipps, Emma Miller and Hailee Weisenbach added a goal apiece. Carpenter contributed a team-high two assists while those with one assist were Miller, Prewitt and Addie Reding.
Brynlie Oesterling had two saves in the Batesville net.
Batesville (4-1, 2-0 EIAC) was at Greensburg last Thursday for a conference rivalry match and continues EIAC play early this week at home against South Dearborn.
