Can you help spread some Christmas cheer?

Ripley County has the most giving and caring people around. They are always having benefits, digging in their reserves, and helping those in need.
Just For Him Ministries, Osgood, has seen the outpouring time and again and they have been the ones giving to those in need. Ken and Charlotte Macphee and Just For Him are continuing to give.
They have been going to Black Mountain in western North Carolina working with a unified team with Habitat for Humanity, Cabins 4 Christ, and Ingles Markets Distribution Center. “This is a collaboration grounded in faith, with every organization bringing their unique resources and skills to serve families in need. By working together, we aim to complete two homes before Christmas, provide hundreds of temporary housing for those who have lost everything and continue to deliver truckloads of much needed supplies to the area,” Macphee posted on his Facebook page.
Now they need you. Volunteers are needed to finish these two homes before Christmas and more. They understand if you can’t physically go to help. They are also asking that you keep the mission work in North Carolina in your prayers. They are also asking for you to tell others about their needs. And, lastly, they can still use resources such as water, baby supplies, canned goods, paper products, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, financial help and winter supplies.
To find out more and how to get the supplies to where they are needed contact Just For Him at 721 Tanglewood Road, Osgood, IN 47037 or go to their Facebook Page (The Upper Room).
Giving at Home from Sheri Cunningham:
The 8th Annual Boxers and Bloomers Collection to benefit the children of Ripley County is now underway! The program was born in 2017 when Connie Shadday saw a news program about how many students were lacking basic items of clothing such as socks and underwear. Connie, along with her friend Sheri Cunningham, began collecting supplies. All items are divided evenly amongst the students at South Ripley, Milan, and Jac-Cen-Del Schools. The school nurses in each corporation are instrumental in communicating their greatest needs and distributing everything to their students. This year, the nurses have requested boys and girls sweatpants in sizes 4-10 in addition to the basic socks, underwear, gloves, hats, and feminine hygiene items. Donation boxes are located all over the county. Boxes can be found at 3C Express LLC in Versailles, The Osgood Grub Company, The Osgood Public Library and The Milan Branch Library.
“Since Connie first created the program, we have collected and distributed approximately 17,000 pairs of socks and underwear. This is solely due to the generous contributions of the community. We will be collecting until Christmas this year. If you are able, please consider donating to this project. Each pair of socks or gloves helps a child feel warm and comfortable. Let’s see if we can fill those collection boxes again this year!” Cunningham concluded.
