Chamber names educator, citizen, and business of the year

The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce will hold their Annual Meeting on October 24 where they will be honoring several people.
The Educator of the Year goes to Janine Stratton, who is a fourth grade teacher at South Ripley. Her class placed first in scores in math throughout the State.
Jim Cregar has been named Business Person of the Year. He is with Franklin Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and is known to volunteer throughout Ripley County where he makes his home.
Pat Hicks of Napoleon, needs no introduction as Citizen of the Year. She has provided music for the county through lessons and performances for decades and is always willing to volunteer.
The 2024 Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony invites the public to come and honor these people and enjoy a night of music with appetizers, cash bar, silent auction and networking. The event will be held at the Sunman American Legion 337, 412 Eastern Ave., Sunman. You will need to RSVP by October 16, these seats fill up fast. Contact the Chamber at 812-689-6654 now.
