Fourth of July celebrations all around

Batesville:
This year’s festivities for the Fourth of July at Batesville will span two days. It will begin with a spectacular fireworks display, followed by a patriotic run, the traditional parade, extended activities at Liberty Park, an evening band performance and various business specials and fun throughout the city.
“We are incredibly excited about this year’s Fourth of July celebration,” stated Mayor John Irrgang. “Our goal is to create a truly memorable experience for all Batesville residents and visitors. We believe this year’s lineup, along with significant community involvement, will do just that.”
The celebration will kick off on July 3 with a fireworks display hosted by the City of Batesville and Hillcrest Golf & Country Club. This will start at approximately 9:45 p.m.
On Friday, July 4 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Liberty Park, the “Four on the Fourth” Run/Walk will take place. At 10:00 a.m. the parade will get underway. The parade is intended to show colors of red, white and blue in a variety of ways. Registration is open for floats and vehicles through June 27 at the city’s website: www.batesvilleindiana.us.
After the parade Liberty Park will be the destination for lots of activity until 3:00 p.m. The day will end with an evening performance by the Eureka Band at Liberty Park at 8:00 p.m.
Milan:
There will be a dedication to the new Basketball Town, USA water tower and basketball streetlights on Carr Street at 5:00 p.m. at the water tower on July 3.
A variety of food trucks will be set up at the Daren Baker Park at 6 p.m. They will include Carbonation Station, Donut NV, Troublemakers, and German Corner. Fantastic fireworks will light the night sky at dusk!
On Friday, July 4, there is a Men’s Methodist Breakfast from 7-10 a.m. followed by their traditional Fourth of July Parade starting at 10:00 a.m. The Milan Volunteer Fire Department will have their annual chicken from 11:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Osgood:
The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce will be having their 24th Annual Fireworks Display at the Ripley County Fairground Park in Osgood on Friday, July 4. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with family friendly fun. There will be vendors of all kinds and food booths. Andrew’s Mobile DJ Service will perform from 5-7 p.m. with live entertainment featuring Tom Richardson & The Silverspurs at 7:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks at dark.
Versailles:
The Versailles State Park will be the home to fireworks on Saturday, July 5 in the lake area.
