Halloween happenings announced for the area
There are plenty of happenings surrounding the upcoming Halloween holiday. Here are a few you might enjoy:
October 22:
Lee’s Country RV is hosting the 3rd Annual Boos and Brews Cornhole Tournament. There will be pumpkin painting, games, food and more beginning at 2 p.m. Registration for the cornhole tournament begins at 4 p.m.
Versailles State Park Halloween Spooktacular I will be held with pumpkin decorating from 1-3 p.m. and trick-or-treating from 4-7 p.m. and a campsite decorating contest with judging at 8 p.m.
October 24: Ghostly Gathering will be held at Amack’s Well from 3 to 6:30 p.m. This is a free event.
Benham will have a trunk or treat from 6-7 p.m. at the Benham United Methodist Church.
October 25:
Romwebers Trunk or Treat from 1-3 p.m. with a Halloween Costume Contest at 12:30.
Weberding Carving Shop will hold Webfest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
October 29:
Versailles State Park Halloween Spooktacular II will be held with a costume contest from 2-3 p.m. trick-or-treating from 4-7 p.m. and a campsite decorating contest with judging at 8 p.m.
Moores Hill will hold Trick-or Treat from 5-7 p.m.
October 30:
The Dillsboro Civic Club will be hosting a Halloween Parade at 6:30 p.m.
October 31:
These towns will host Trick-or-Treat from 5-7 p.m.: Milan and Versailles. In Versailles a parade, sponsored by the Versailles American Legion Post #173, will be held with a contest after trick-or-treating hours; Osgood will have trick-or-treating followed by a parade, sponsored by the Osgood American Legion.
Sunman trick-or-treat will be held from 6-8 p.m.
Friendship trick-or-treating will start at 6 p.m.
Batesville Trick or Treat begins with a parade at 6 p.m. at the Batesville Memorial Pool. This is sponsored by the Batesville American Legion Post 271. Traditional trick or treating will follow the parade until 8 p.m.
Versailles Masonic Lodge will hold Trunk or Treat from 5-8 p.m. at the Lodge Hall.
For those who will be participating in giving out treats please remember to turn your porch light on. For those getting the treats, remember to watch for cars, wear illuminated colors. For motorists, watch out for these little ones on the above times and dates as they gather candy!
