Indians host Black and Gold night

Milan football receives final instructions prior to its Black and Gold Night scrimmage this past Friday.

Milan football is still one week away from its opening week of the high school season but Indians on the gridiron of all ages were able to showcase their talents last Friday night as part of the annual Black and Gold Night at Milan High School.

The popular event highlights the Milan youth football programs which runs from grades kindergarten through sixth and introduces the middle school and high school teams. Each group participated in an intrasquad scrimmage with team photos being taken during the festivities.

Milan Youth Football begins its season on Sunday while the middle school program opens on Thursday at home against South Decatur.

The Indians of the high school ranks scrimmage Triton Central on the road Friday night before a regular season home opener the following week against Rushville.
