Saturday, Dec. 14, was a beautiful afternoon for the Annual Sunman Santa and Friends Christmas Parade. There was a contest this year put on by the Sunman Town Board for a chance to win $500.00. The floats were judged on creativity and originality, relevance to the parade theme and overall impact and spirit. The best float went to the Knue family for their excellent Christmas Spirit. Pictured above, right, is Ripley County Commissioner, Mark Horstman, who handed the Knue family their winnings of $500.00. Pictured above left is the Knue’s float. The Knue family generously gave their winnings back to the Sunman EMS Squad and the Sunman Fire Dept of $250.00 to each organization. Many blessings for the Town of Sunman this year and giving back to the community.
