Lady Indians sweep JCD

JCD VOLLEYBALL
Jac-Cen-Del senior Brooklyn Simon reached the 1000 career assist mark this past week in a match against North Decatur. Simon added to her total two nights later against Milan.
Milan volleyball spent last week unbeaten, picking up wins over Switzerland County and Jac-Cen-Del as part of Ohio River Valley Conference early season action.
Both games for Milan did not count towards the ORVC standings as the Lady Indians will see both schools once again prior to the postseason.
The black and gold were 3-0 winners in both matches and that included Thursday’s victory over a Jac-Cen-Del team that had come in winners of five of its last six matches. Milan was challenged from start-to-finish but found control by the end of all three sets. The Lady Indians won the first set 25-19 and fended off the Osgood crew 25-23 and 26-24 in the next two sets to complete the sweep.
Statistics from the match alongside scoring and stats from Milan’s Tuesday match against Switzerland County were not provided by time of print. The Lady Indians (4-3) are at Franklin County on Wednesday and face Rising Sun at home on Thursday night in an ORVC contest.
