It was a winning effort for the South once again this past Friday night and a local gridiron duo aided in the cause as Milan’s Landon Stanley and Batesville’s Gage Pohlman took part in the Indiana Football Coaches Association North/South All-Star Game at Decatur Central High School.
The 59th annual All-Star Game saw the South win for a fifth-straight year with a talented roster of 2025 high school graduates.
Stanley, an offensive lineman, was joined by Pohlman at the running back position. It was the final honor for the two after both helped lead their respective programs to winning records and sectional titles in 2024. The two also picked up multiple all-star and all-state nods. Pohlman, who also helped Batesville to a regional crown this past fall, was Batesville’s first All-Star selection since 2007.
The South blanked the North 37-0 in Friday’s game. A full box score and individual statistics have yet to be provided by the IFCA.
