Milan Aquatics open summer season

Summer swim season in Southeastern Indiana is underway as the Milan Aquatics fell to the Decatur County Tiger Sharks on Wednesday night in Greensburg.

It was the first of six regular season dual meets between a pair of teams inside the Southeastern Indiana Swimming Association. Milan is headed up by coaches Steve Stock, Tori Simpkins and Ariel Haessig.

Despite falling in the dual meet on Wednesday, Milan had several event winners spanning various age groups. The following were individual event winners for the Aquatics: Lainey Stock; Brody Stock; Lindsey Franklin; Taylor Stock; Ross Lieland; Ashlyn DeWire; Averi Jones; Cooper Mutz; Alice Austin; Caiden Felver; Molly Knecht; Brady Begley; Drew Poole; Seth Thomas; Levi DeWire.

Several from Milan also found themselves winners as part of relay events. Those individuals included: Brody Stock; Archer Austin; Levi DeWire; Elias Howard; Scarlett Beiser; Addy Laws; Lindsey Franklin; Lola Beiser; Taylor Stock; Tracey Franklin; Alice Austin; Molly DeWire; Lainey Stock; Avery Austin; Molly Knecht; Averi Jones; Seth Thomas; JJ Mutz; Brady Begley; Grant Rosenberger; Noah Begley; Landon Beiser; Ross Lieland; Drew Poole; Cooper Mutz; Justin Hicks; Ashlyn DeWire.

Milan was set to swim again this Monday at home against Southwestern (Hanover) before traveling to Switzerland County on Wednesday.
