Milan golfers are the 2019 Ripley County Invitational champions

Members of the Milan golf team hold the Ripley County Invitational trophy. Along with Coach Pat Murphy, the team consists of Matthew Schmitt, Joe Hawk, Carter Wade, Parker Lewis, and Josh Clark.
The Milan Indians golf team, under the direction of Head Coach Pat Murphy, won the Ripley County Invitational over Jac-Cen-Del and Batesville on Monday, April 22 at North Branch Golf Course near Greensburg. As a team, the Indians shot 182, besting Batesville’s 196 and Jac-Cen-Del’s 242. (South Ripley does not have a boys team this season.)
Milan sophomore Josh Clark earned medalist honors with a nine hole score of 40, which was four over par for the course. Also making the All-County team, which consists of the top five individuals, were Parker Lewis of Milan (46), Dean Campbell of Batesville (46), Joe Cerniglia of Batesville (48), and Matthew Schmitt of Milan (48).
Jac-Cen-Del’s low scorer was Garrett Boor with 55.
