Milan swimming beats Trinity Lutheran
Taylor Stock (right) and Molly Knecht (left) have started the swim season strong and continue to rack up event wins for Milan.
Milan swimming welcomed a new opponent last Monday night in Trinity Lutheran and the host Indians easily took care of the Cougars as part of a dual meet prior to the Christmas holiday.
The Lady Indians were a 114-21 winner while the Milan boys won 107-8 over Trinity Lutheran. Milan’s two teams combined totaled 20 event wins.
Event winners for the Milan girls included the following: 200 Freestyle Relay, Molly Knecht, Lainey Stock, Ashlyn DeWire and Hannah Cooney; 200 Freestyle, Taylor Stock; 200 Individual Medley, Ashlyn DeWire; 100 Fly, DeWire; 500 Freestyle, Knecht; 200 Freestyle Relay, Kaitlynn Hicks, Taylor Stock, Ava Pittman and Cooney; 100 Backstroke, Kami Laws; 100 Breaststroke, Lainey Stock; 400 Freestyle Relay, Cooney, Jordyn Huebner, Laws and T.Stock.
Winners for the Milan boys were: 200 Freestyle Relay, Tyler Myers, Lucas Cooney, Kyle O’Neil and Logan Bruns; 200 Freestyle, JJ Mutz; 200 Individual Medley, Myers; 50 Freestyle, Seth Thomas; 100 Freestyle, Cooney; 500 Freestyle, Mutz; 200 Freestyle Relay, Tyler Shafer, Thomas, Mutz and Cooney; 100 Backstroke, Bruns; 100 Breaststroke, Cooney; 400 Freestyle Relay, Shafter, Bruns, Mutz and Thomas.
Milan was at Greensburg on Monday night and will then host Oldenburg Academy and Rising Sun next Thursday.
