It came as no surprise to family and friends of Sophia Sullivan of Osgood, when she was named Miss Ripley County 2024 in July. She represented the county well over the weekend when she claimed the 2nd Runner-Up title at the Miss Indiana State Fair 2025 Pageant at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center inside the Corteva Coliseum.
In a Facebook post, Sullivan said, “So grateful for this amazing opportunity to represent my wonderful county and meet the most amazing young women! Thank you everyone for all your support!”
Pilar Bravo, Miss Marion County 2024, was crowned the 66th Miss Indiana State Fair Queen. 4th Runner-Up was Kelby Roberts of Rush County, 3rd Runner-Up was Rebecca Brewer of Elkhart County, and 1st Runner-Up was Jordyn Leininger of Kosciusko County. Miss Congeniality went to Maggie Taylor from Cass County.
The Queen and her Court were selected from a field of over 80 contestants.
The Pageant was exciting to watch as Miss Ripley County placed in the top 20, then as Ripley County residents watched, her genuine bubbly personality and beauty came shining through and she was named 2nd Runner-Up.
The 16 semi-finalists competed in a one-minute prepared speech and professional wear categories. Then, the top ten finalists competed in the on-stage question and formal wear judging.
The 2025 Indiana State Fair will be held August 1 to August 17.
Contestant #24 – Sophia Sullivan – will be among the Miss Indiana State Fair 2025 Court representing her county.
