South Ripley’s varsity bowling teams saw their season as a group come to an end this past week but two Raider boys and one girl are still alive inside postseason action.
Eli Liming, Landon Adams and Hailee Dowers all earned individual bids to the regional round of the Indiana State Bowling Tournament. The individual sectional round took place this past Sunday in Columbus.
Liming finished as sectional runner-up and is looking for a second-straight semi-state appearance this season while Adams advanced to the regional after placing seventh on the individual leaderboard. Dowers was among girl qualifiers and just missed out on having a teammate join her as Journey Jines missed the bid by a single pin.
Saturday saw team competition for both boys and girls South Ripley teams at Scottsburg. The Raider boys, despite being the top seed, were unable to advance to the regional round. It marked just the fourth time in the last 15 years that the Raiders have failed to advance on the boys’ side.
Liming, Adams and Dowers will compete in the individual regional this weekend at the Strikes and Spares Bowling Center in Clarksville.
