Versailles gets chunk of $6.4M from road grants
Versailles is among the communities that just received money through the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program, according to State Senator Jean Leising.
The Town of Versailles received $670,382.25. Counties receiving funds included Decatur $375,008.86; Rushville $719,250; and Shelby $464,250. Other towns include: Edinburgh with $1,483,065; Greensburg $557,104.23; Rushville $719,250; Shelbyville $1,072,930.59 and Rush Co. $1,044.081.79.
“Improving local infrastructure is an important part of keeping our regional economy strong,” Leising said. “Farmers, business owners and many others will benefit from this boon to our transportation network. I applaud local leaders in Senate District 42 who have taken advantage of this opportunity.”
The CCMG offers two rounds of applications each year, with the next call for applications being in January 2025.
