Veterans honored at Wheelock Open House

Visitors came from the local area and from as far away as southern Kentucky Saturday to see what progress has been made to the former Browning’s Campground near Versailles. The Southeastern Indiana Color Guard (above) presented the colors and led the ceremony as new flags were raised at Wheelock Lake Campground. The ceremony took place as part of the campground’s soft opening festivities. After the new flags were raised, approximately 200 flags from around southeastern Indiana were retired. Wheelock’s owner Kevin Wang (below) is pictured holding one of the bins visitors were pulling flags from to help retire them.
