VSP – Art in Nature: A week of crafts and camaraderie

Gary E. Johnson established Anvil Envy in Elrod. He entertains on-lookers with his mesmerizing stories. Anvil Envy was one of the local artisans that helped to recreate the latches on the Old Timbers Lodge.
The Versailles area and visitors were treated to a week of crafts that culminated with a stupendous show of demonstrators and artists on Saturday, April 27. This was all sponsored by: Ripley County Tourism Bureau, Versailles State Park, Ripley County Community Foundation, The Friendship State Bank, and Southeastern Indiana REMC.
Monday was Acrylics and Mixed Media with Debi Black. Tuesday was Stained Glass with Debby Allen, Versailles. Wednesday, Thom Maltbie instructed on Encaustic Collage.
The week ended with grand demonstrations from several area artisans many with hands-on opportunities for visitors, young and old alike.
