Alivia Marie (Wickstrom) Burns

Alivia Marie (Wickstrom) Burns, 35, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at her home.

Alivia was born in Seymour, on June 14, 1984, to Chuck and Barbette (Wagoner) Wickstrom. Alivia was an extraordinary mother, wife, daughter and sister. Spending time with her family was most important to her. Alivia was an active member of Blue Grass Church and was a preschool teacher at Home For Your Heart. She loved singing in the choir and participating in small group. Alivia was strong and courageous in her fight with cancer, and her faith never faltered. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, shopping, going to the beach and everything Disney.

Alivia is survived by her husband of 10 years, Matthew Burns of Evansville; daughter, Hailee Burns; sons, Joel Burns and Lukas Burns all of Evansville; parents, Chuck and Barbette (Wagoner) Wickstrom of Versailles; sisters, Danessa Scott (Curtis) of Union, KY and Erica Wickstrom (Mike Waddell) of Ft. Collins, CO; mother-in-law, Cathy Burns; brothers-in-law, Wesley Burns (Heather) and Andy Burns (Tiffany); grandmothers, Eva Mae Wagoner and Elaine Cook (Lynn); grandmother-in-law, Beverly (Plymire) Sunderman (Marvin), Evansville; Alivia was also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alivia was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charles O. Wagoner and Charles Wickstrom; and her father-in-law, Barry Burns.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Blue Grass Church, Main Campus, Evansville, with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem United Church of Christ Cemetery.

A celebration of Alivia’s life will be held from 2:00 p.m. (EST) until 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, February 22, at Benham United Methodist Church, 648 E. Co. Rd. 650 S., Versailles.
