Mrs. Brenda Kay Vermillion Welch, age 64, of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on December 23, 1955 in Milan, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Emma Marchman Vermillion. She was raised in the Holton and Versailles communities and was a 1974 graduate of South Ripley High School. Brenda was united in marriage on September 1, 1991 in Reville, Indiana to Leslie Dale Welch. She worked for 30 years for River Valley Resources in Madison in administration and 8 years for the Madison State Hospital in the accounting department. Brenda had worked for Madison Wal-Mart in the accounting department for five years. She was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and had worked with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She loved to cook, collect recipes, dancing, singing, socializing with people, going to church and working puzzles. She was a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma. Brenda died on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at 6:57 p.m. at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.


Brenda will be missed by her loving husband of 29 years, Leslie Dale Welch of Deputy, Indiana, her loving sons, Tony Vermillion and his wife, Lisa of Deputy, Indiana, Jeff Sellers of Bloomington, Indiana; her loving daughter, Amy Welch of Westport, Indiana; her adoring grandchildren, Brandon Vermillion, Kristen Vermillion and Tiffany Vermillion; her brother, Benjamin Vermillion and his wife, Lila of Butlerville, Indiana; her sisters, Shirley Ralston of Westport, Indiana, Linda Minger and her husband, Allen of Scipio, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Vermillion, her mother, Emma Marchman Vermillion and her infant sister, Bernice Vermillion.


Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., by Rev. Skip Napier at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Indiana. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
