Cheryl Wheelden

Cheryl Maye Wheelden passed away of natural causes at her home in Haines City, FL, on February 21, 2024. Cheryl was born in Champaign, IL on September 24, 1938, to her loving parents, Rev. Creed and Helen (Reedy) Hampton. Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wheelden; one brother, Rev. Garold (Wanda) Hampton; and one stepson, Tommy Wheelden.

She is survived by one brother, Loren (Wanda) Hampton of Whiteland, IN, and two sisters, Carolyn Forsyth of Greenfield, IN, and Phyllis (Jerry) Wasson of Greenfield, IN. She is also survived by her former husband, Max Mohr of Vandalia, OH; their two daughters, Tari Mohr of Florida, and Jeannette (William) Carl of Westerville, OH; their one son, Kevin (Melanie) Mohr of Houston, TX; and three stepchildren, Ethan (Lisa) Wheelden of Delaware, IN, Rebecca Braunm of Crossville, TN, and Natalie Lunsford of Belton, MO. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Cheryl was a member of the First Christian Church of Haines City, FL and of the First Baptist Church of Osgood, IN. Memorial services will be held at the First Christian Church of Haines City, FL on Saturday March 23, 2024, at 10:00 am, and at the First Baptist Church of Osgood, IN on Saturday July 27, 2024, at 11:00 am.
