Clarris Rosebrock

Clarris Rosebrock, 83, of Versailles passed away at 8:15 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2024 at Swiss Villa in Vevay. She was born in Otterbein, Indiana on December 25, 1940, the daughter of Milburn and Florence Cutshall Rutherford. She was married to Jim Rosebrock at the Osgood United Methodist Church on June 14, 1959 and her husband of 65 years survives. Other survivors include one son Jim Rosebrock, Jr. of Versailles; two daughters Robin (Don) Sporleder of Zenas and Carol Fischer of Friendship; five grandchildren Stephen III and Breanna Huntington, Gretchen (Robert) Hembree, William Sporleder, and Cassandra (Robert) Perry; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Maria, her son John, her brother Jackson Rutherford, and her sisters Alberta Thompson and Sheila Smith. Clarris and Jim lived in the Tanglewood community west of Versailles for several years. They tended to their farm and Clarris enjoyed painting and watching the birds on the farm. She was best known in the community as a 30 -year bus driver for South Ripley Schools, a position she retired from in 2006. Clarris was a member of the Jolly Parkers Home Economics Club and also enjoyed participating in the Tanglewood Baptist Church Missionary Society. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Tanglewood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Fire Department in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
