Donald Gene Stork

Donald “Donnie” Gene Stork, age 88, of Osgood passed away early Monday April 15, 2024 at his farm outside of Osgood. Donnie was born on the same farm on July 29, 1935 the son of the late Harold “Butch” and Ruth (Slade) Stork.

Donnie loved every aspect of the farm life, starting as early as he could helping farm the ground. He enjoyed teaching his family how to operate equipment and appreciate the land. He was a proud Osgood Cowboy graduate class of 1953. Once he completed high school he proudly served in the United States Army.

In November of 1963, he married Janet Wilkening and they spent the rest of their lives together until Janet’s passing in January of this year. Donnie was a long member of Osgood United Methodist Church and the Osgood Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed multiple western trips with his grandkids, racing midget sprints, and watching NASCAR races. Donnie worked 10 years for the Osgood Stone Quarry and then over 30 years with UPS.

He will be dearly missed by daughter Beth Linville, grandson Brett (Alex) Linville of Friendship, and granddaughter Kayla (Logan) Linville of Flat Rock, and sister in-law Ina Stork of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, his parents, brother Harold and great grandson Mitchell Powers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 11 am-1 pm at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm also Thursday at Neal’s. Burial will follow at Greendale Cemetery outside of Osgood with Military Honors by Osgood American Legion. Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
