Franklin Dallas Hammon

Franklin Dallas Hammon, 88, of Kissimmee, Florida, formerly of Holton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 07, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1936, in Holton, Indiana, to Elbridge and Erma (Pratt) Hammon and was the youngest of eleven children.
On April 18, 1958, Frank married Loretta Fugitt. This union was blessed with a daughter Toni. Frank worked for Arvin Mufflers for many years, then he became an over the road trucker, but the work he enjoyed most, was being a farmer. He enjoyed growing vegetables for Loretta to can and to preserve for their family. Frank was also a talented singer, having sung in a quartet for many years. Frank also enjoyed watching car races, college basketball (especially Indiana University) and spending time with his family. Frank was a great provider for his family, he always worked hard and instilled this in his family. Frank was a 1954 graduate of Holton High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Norman, John and Rufus Hammon, sisters Lucille Schlotman, June Hansen, Blanche Ross, Dorothy Kimball, Maybeth DeBurger, Edith Hammon and Delores Hammon.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Loretta, daughter Toni Keeling, grandson Kyle King, granddaughter Tiffany King, great-grandchildren Elizabeth King and Wesley King, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10-11 am at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever (304 East Drive) with funeral services following at 11. Franklin will be laid to rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery following the funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dabney Baptist Church (1103 Old Michigan Rd, Holton, IN 47023).
