Glenna Mae Schuler

Glenna Mae Schuler, 90, of Napoleon passed away on December 13, 2020 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Glenna was born on March 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Virgil and Mabel (Monroe) Hartig. She was a graduate of Napoleon High School. After high school she worked in bookkeeping for the local Farm Bureau and Reynolds in Osgood. She was married on March 31, 1951 to James Irvin Schuler and they moved to the family farm outside of Napoleon. Glenna became a household wife; they were blesssed with 7 sons and 3 daughters. After the kids were grown, she worked in the cafeteria for Jac-Cen-Del.


Glenna is survived by sons; Michael (Caroline), Robert (Jane), Ricky (Mary), Dennis (Shelia), Donald (Terry) and Joel (Amy), daughters Cathy Richmond and Brenda (Matt) Nickell; sister Mary Ellen McCorkle, numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband James, son Thomas, daughter Trina Kohlmeier, her parents, brother George Hartig and daughter-in-law Jane Schuler.


Visitation was held Thursday, December 17. Funeral Mass was held at the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon with burial following. Memorials may be given to Napoleon Fire Department or St. Maurice Catholic Church in care of the funeral home. Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net.
