Herman Strumpf

Herman Ryan Strumpf, 76, of Osgood passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, in Columbus Indiana. Herman was born on July 9, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Herman is the son of Herman N. and June (Streit) Strumpf. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James. 

Herman served as a Counselor for the State of Ohio and moved to Osgood after his retirement.  Herman’s unofficial, second career was dedicated to hours of research and to the promotion of many projects for the benefit of Ripley County, Southeastern Indiana and the State of Indiana. 

Herman was an avid traveler and the highlight of all his trips were when he was able to connect with his friends from around the country and beyond.  

Herman enjoyed the outdoors, especially his beautiful farm that he lived upon.  His affinity for his farm was evident through his devotion to its cultivation and conservation of the property.  

Family and friends may gather in remembering Herman at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Christ Church Cathedral located at 125 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, Indiana.
