Kathy Marie (Dannettelle) Durst

Kathy Marie (Dannettelle) Durst, 64, formerly of Osgood passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 at Alamance Regional Center in Burlington, North Carolina. She was born on September 25th, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana, as the daughter to Pearl (Hodges) Peaslee and the late Marvin (Rusty) Dannettelle.

Survivors include her mother, Pearl Peaslee of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; two daughters, Debra (Robert) Mason of Reidsville, North Carolina, Kelli Jo Sobolik of King, North Carolina; one son, Corey Miller of Avon, Colorado; one granddaughter, Zoe Durst; four grandsons, Riley Sobolik, Anthony Johnson, Remington Mason and Logan Mason all from North Carolina; three brothers, Russ (Darlene) Dannettelle of Clearwater, Florida, Randy (Rae) Dannettelle of Trabuco Canyon, California and Ray (Dawn) Peaslee of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; three sisters, Karen (Dennis) Jacques of Elko New Market, Minnesota, Kay McCammon of Versailles, and Sandy Roan of Eagletown, Oklahoma; two stepbrothers, Mike Peaslee of Nashville, and Randy (Bonnie) Peaslee of Columbus; one aunt, Ruth Allman of Albuquerque, New Mexico and one uncle, Tom Dannettelle of Seymour. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brother Robert Dannettelle.

Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She studied Medical Assisting at Watterson College in Louisville, Kentucky graduating in 1974. She also studied nursing at Allegany College of Maryland and Associate of Art at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland.

Per Kathy’s request, she was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in Indiana. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
