Keith Alan Riechers, age 67, of Osgood passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. Keith was born on August 28, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Keith was the son of the late Henry and Jeanette (Brandt) Riechers.
Keith’s family moved to the Chicago area after he was born and this is where he attended school. Keith was a graduate of the Class of 1970 from John Henry High School in Arlington Heights. He then attended Northern Illinois University to obtain his degree in engineering. Upon graduation, he entered the work force and his career would afford him the opportunity to move across the United States.

In 1980, while working in Atlanta, GA, he would meet his future wife Nancy. They were united in marriage on April 11, 1981. They moved to Rhode Island where he worked for Raytheon and they started their family. Keith then took a new job and they were off to the west coast, spending time in Salem, Oregon and Spokane, Washington. In 1992, Keith accepted a position with Hill Rom in Batesville, they purchased a home in Osgood and have spent the last 18 years here. Keith was a Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer for Hill Rom.

Keith enjoyed giving and helping others. He gave his time to Habitat for Humanity and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He became an ordained Lutheran minister and was a proud member of Adam’s Lutheran Church in Batesville.

Keith is survived by his wife Nancy; sons Matthew Alan and Justin Brandt; daughters Lutoria Elizabeth and Ashley Faith; grandchildren Noelle Mae, Corrine Joy, Joanna Grace (Riechers) and Philip Anthony Hebert III; brother Dale (Julie) Riechers of Madison, Wisconsin, and Aunt Elsie Oliver of Marengo, Illinois.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Adam’s Lutheran Church. Memorials may be given to the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews, Christian Appalachian Project or Shriners Hospital in care of Neal’s Funeral Home.
