Landen James Wilson Comer
Landen James Wilson Comer, 19, of Osgood passed away Tuesday afternoon November 26, 2024 near Osgood as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in on Batesville March 20, 2005. Survivors include his father Dale (Ashley Butt) Comer of Holton; his mother Amber (Mitchell Bruser) Wilson of Florence, Kentucky; siblings Heath, Keegan, and Jaxson Comer, Wilson and Noah Vonhandorf, and Zoe and Reagan Bolser; paternal grandparents Mark and Marsha Comer of Osgood; maternal grandmother Debra Wilson of Osgood. He was preceded in death by his grandfather David Wilson, paternal great-grandparents Arthur and Edith Comer and William and Edna Abbott, and maternal great-grandparents Leslie and Joyce Wilson. Landen graduated from the Southeastern Career Center in Building Trades in 2022 and was a 2023 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. While playing for the Eagles baseball team in 2022, Landen pitched a no-hit shut-out. He was employed with Goodwin Landscaping in Dillsboro. Landen loved the outdoors, golfing, fishing, hunting, and playing softball and baseball. He also enjoyed coaching in the Jac-Cen-Del Little League. Landen was known by those around him as the guy who could light up the room with his presence and his love for everyone. He had a huge heart and doted on his brothers and sisters. Landen was a member of the Holton Fire Department and his life aspiration was to be a career firefighter. Landen attended the Hopewell Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 1 at 2 p.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Luke Koors officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Holton Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
