Pat Titkemeyer

Pat Titkemeyer

Pat Titkemeyer, 80, of Lawrenceburg, entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 17, 2023. She will always be remembered as the doting wife, of 58 years, to Paul Titkemeyer, Lawrenceburg. Other survivors include two children, Dlisa (Ken Kramer) Titkemeyer, and Mike (Katrina) Titkemeyer, all of Lawrenceburg. Grandchildren: Ashlee (Evan) Althoff, of Versailles, Logan (Corbin) Karsteter, Germany, Mallory (Steven Grimme) Zimmerman, of Louisville, KY, Kyle Van Guelpen, and Brenna Van Guelpen, of Lawrenceburg. Her most precious babies of all, her great-grandchildren, Emery and Emmett Althoff, Versailles, will miss her terribly. Her sisters, Julia (Ernest) Vanover, of Evarts, KY, and Jane (Jim) Helton, Harlan, KY, sister-in-law, Mary Dickerson, Verona, KY, as well as a crew of nieces, nephews, and other family members will continue to hold Pat’s memory close.

To know Pat was to love her. She spent 34 years as an educator and mentor at Lawrenceburg Community Schools, during which time she was an active board member with the Indiana Teachers Union. She continued advocating for education well into retirement, spending nearly 20 years subbing and continuing to work with children. She was an active member at Tanner Valley United Methodist Church. There wasn’t a meal that happened with Pat being an integral part in the planning and execution.
Pat’s greatest success was being a Nana. She became a Nana to anyone and everyone who needed love and support, never meeting a stranger. Often times, she forgot her given name, but always answered to The Nana.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Agnes Howard, and siblings Bob Howard and Dorothy Hubbard.
To honor Nana’s memory, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for Pat’s most precious, her great-grandchildren, in care of the funeral home.
Services will be held Saturday, September 23 at Tanner Valley United Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, IN. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am- until time of service. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, at the church. Graveside services will immediately follow at Greendale Cemetery. Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home is entrusted with the care of arrangements.
