Randy Sizemore

Randy Sizemore

The community of Holton was suddenly changed on Sunday evening, October 20. A smiling face and helping hand by the name of Randy Gene Sizemore unexpectedly passed away. Randy was only 53 years old, which means he provided smiles to all that knew him for over 19,000 days. He was born on June 15, 1971 in Madison, In, the son of the late Charles and Eula (Roark) Sizemore.

Upon completion of school Randy enlisted in the United States Military proudly serving our country. He also served time in the National Guard. He always enjoyed a good conversation about the military and helping with American Legion events. After his time in the service Randy began his career in the gas business. He knew every aspect of the gas business, dedicating over 30 years to the industry. He started at Empire Gas, the Blue flame, and the last several years at Trade & Industrial Supply in Lawrenceburg.

His personal life would forever change when late May of 1996, he mustered up the courage to make a phone call to Lisa Kappes. Fast forward to July 5, 1996, and they were united in marriage and recently celebrated their 28th anniversary. Randy had many passions; his family first and foremost, a hot slot machine at the casino, a heated dirt track race, or the peacefulness of the deer stand. He was always up for a good joke and creating a smile.

Randy will be dearly missed by Lisa, sons Dakota Sizemore and Eric (Katie Gilland) Wall, daughter Miranda (Justin) Bland, brothers Ed (Kimberley) Sizemore and Robert Sizemore, grandchildren Bennett, Skylar, and Avery, nephews; Aaron, Austin, Ryan, and Dustin, nieces; Angel, Stephanie, Madylnn and Maria, and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe Sizemore. Visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2024, from 3-6 pm. at Neal’s funeral Home in Osgood. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm., also at Neal’s. Memorials can be given to the American Legion in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
